How important is the Nile?

Today we learnt all about the river Nile and why it is/was so significant to Egyptian people.
Our focus tasks were linked to understanding how geography (the river) impacted on how people live. We also made shadufs, created Nile Watercolours, made a huge map of the river Nile labelling farms, landmarks and land use, made adobe spark pages and sequences the flooding seasons! We’ve had so much fun; and learnt so much! No

Egyptian Enquiry

This week we have started our Learning Mission, tracing our past and Chestnut class are learning all about The Ancient Egyptians!

To kick start this mission, the children have asked questions that they want to find out this half term and made inferences about life in the Egyptian times using artefacts and other sources. We also placed the ancient Egyptian period on a timeline of the world. Then ordered some main events in the Egyptian period such as building the pyramids.

We can’t wait to learn more about the Egyptians on your learning mission! ⭐️
